Gary Black is chief executive officer and is responsible for all business aspects of Aegon Asset Management US and Aegon Real Assets US. Prior to joining the organization, he served as the global co-chief investment officer at Calamos Investments, which acquired Black Capital, where he was CEO and CIO. Prior to Black Capital, Gary was chief executive officer and chief investment officer at Janus Capital. Before joining Janus, Gary was chief investment officer of equities at Goldman Sachs Asset Management, and before that was head of Alliance Bernstein's Global Institutional business. Gary has 26 years of industry experience and has been with the firm since 2016. He received his MBA from Harvard Business School and earned his BS in economics from the University of Pennsylvania.
